The location
The Farmhouse is situated in the heart of the idyllic traditional Norfolk village of Thornage, with beautiful views and walks on the doorstep and just a few minutes drive from the acclaimed Georgian town of Holt. Here you will find a cornucopia of establishments ranging from exclusive boutiques, vintage clothing, antique shops, art galleries, gift shops, award-winning cafes, restaurants, pubs and delicatessens. However, the refreshing lack of the usual chain stores does not mean compromising on any of life’s essentials. As well as an exclusive department store, the town also boasts a supermarket and pharmacy. A browsing and shopping paradise! The North Norfolk coast is just a few miles away, offering a huge variety of coastal scenery, from the vast expanse of sandy beaches at Holkham to the salt marshes that run from Stiffkey to the harbour village of Blakeney. Tourist attractions are aplenty – within easy reach you will find nationally acclaimed family theme parks such as Norfolk Dinosaur Adventure Park, Bewilderwood and The Thursford Collection, seal boat trips and the Norfolk Broads – there really is too much to mention, but its all here!
The House
The Farmhouse was originally built in the 17th century and is a Listed building. If it’s olde England at it’s best that you’re after, then look no further. This house has wood floors and beams galore, nooks, crannies and more character and charm than you can shake a stick at! Throw in a woodburner, plenty of Persian rugs, some lovely old pieces of furniture, quality soft furnishings and you’ll be starting to get the picture.
