WALSINGHAM
Walsingham, in North Norfolk, is a village steeped in history dating back to medieval times. There are many beautiful buildings, some dating back to the 13th century.
The village is famous for its two shrines which attracts thousands of tourists from all over the world.
Walsingham boast many trades and crafts including a candle maker, antique furniture restorer, florist, crystal gifts and icon shops, village store, museum and tea rooms. There are various other places of interest within the village for you to explore.
It is five miles from the nearest beach and some of the most beautiful coastline in the country. 26 miles from Norwich one of Britain's finest shopping centres, and surrounded by little villages, some offering different crafts and attractions.
A small light railway operates during the season from Walsingham to Wells next the sea, running through the countryside.
Walsingham is an ideal centre for golfers, cyclists, walkers, bird watchers, and all those wishing to relax and enjoy our unspoilt countryside.

Walsingham offers tea rooms, inns, village stores, a Post Office and Souvenir shops. However there are no bank facilities within Walsingham, the nearest being in Fakenham or Wells which are both five miles away.

By Rail: The nearest rail stations are Norwich and Kings Lynn, both 27 miles away.
