Situated on the edge of the village of Dersingham, St. Judes is an attractive Victorian semi-detached house located within a short walk of the Queen’s Estate at Sandringham. We provide comfortable bed and breakfast accommodation with an excellent full English breakfast guaranteed to keep you going until lunchtime or beyond. During the summer breakfast may be served in our beautiful garden.
Accommodation comprises: a family room containing a single and king-sized bed, a large twin bedded room and a single bedroom, tea making facilities, TV and radios are available in all rooms. Facilities include a bathroom on the first floor and a large shower room on the ground floor. Well-behaved children and dogs are welcome.
There are two family run pubs which serve food a few minutes walk from the house.
For cyclists and walkers, we can arrange to take their luggage on to the next night’s place of accommodation, if given advanced notice.
This picturesque area of NW Norfolk has miles of heath and woodland walks and spectacular views across The Wash from the old sea cliff in the Dersingham Bog nature reserve. There are regular sightings of the golden pheasant and nightjars.
The beautiful North Norfolk Coast, with its wide sandy beaches and numerous nature reserves, including the renowned RSPB reserves at Snettisham and Titchwell, are a short drive away. During the autumn and winter months, thousands of pink-footed geese can be seen and heard flying overhead between the Wash, where they spend the night, and their feeding grounds on local sugar beet fields during the daylight hours. These birds are particularly vocal. This is one of the great wildlife spectacles.
For those interested in visiting stately homes and gardens, there is a wide choice within an hour’s drive, including several National Trust and privately owned properties. During the summer months, many villages open some of their gardens to the public. There are also private gardens which are opened occasionally to the public under the National Gardens Scheme.
The family seaside resort of Hunstanton, is just 10 minutes drive away. The market town of King’s Lynn is a 15 minute drive. |
