Summer Cottage - with its off-road parking - is a short walk over fields from Glandford village, with the famous Shell Museum and church carillon - not forgetting the ducks by the ford! Cley Spy is also there, and there are wonderful walks over the surrounding Bayfield estate, and to the sea.
Holt- the picturesque Georgian market town- is just five minutes away, as are Cley and Blakeney; the latter well known for its beautiful quay and wonderful dinghy sailing, and Blakeney Point, with its seals and seabirds. If you haven't a boat, ferry trips are a great way to visit it.
The unsurpassed beach of Holkham is about 20 minutes away, with Wells and its lively quayside, and beautiful sandy family-friendly beach a little closer.
There are lovely National Trust properties nearby, and the fine city of Norwich is less than an hour away.
During the winter months there is still much to do here! If entertainment is what you need, then Thursford with its organs and the famous Christmas Spectacular is close by.
